Jabiru 250-SP
The Jabiru J250-SP is proudly manufactured in Shelbyville, Tennessee, U.S.A. by Jabiru USA Sport Aircraft, LLC. The design is Australian certified and both the design and manufacturing are in full compliance with the FAA approved ASTM consensus standards for design, manufacture, quality assurance, and continuing airworthiness.

The airplane accomplishes its mission efficiently as a result of the design goals of Jabiru Aircraft Pty, Ltd:

Maintenance is always an important part of any aircraft operation. Jabiru aircraft are simple and inexpensive to maintain. The use of some components sourced from the automotive industry helps keep costs to a minimum. Spark plugs, oil filters, distributor caps, and rotors are all readily available at auto parts stores at auto parts prices! Oil changes require only 3.6 quarts of aviation oil. Additionally, proprietary Jabiru parts are inexpensive when compared to most other production aircraft.
All Jabiru models have been tested to FAR Part 23 standards including full load and torsional stress testing, a complete spin matrix, and even the fully loaded drop test. You can be assured of a fully Light-Sport-compliant airplane that is strong, safe, predictable, economical, and long lasting.
